Purple cornfields in Big Rock. Yeah, that’s me parked on the side of the road with my hazards flashing as if something is wrong. I can’t help it. Sometimes I lay on the ground to take pictures, too. One time a young woman walked by and whispered loudly to her guy, “That’s alarming’” I couldn’t imagine what could be “alarming” until I thought about my gray hair and the fact that I was lying on the steps. I dissolved into a fit of giggles. I don’t think of myself as an old woman lying in the cornfield, on the steps of the cruise ship (where the whispering incident occurred), or along the trail. I guess it might be startling. I understand, but nothing is wrong. On the contrary, everything is exactly right.
