I am an acupuncturist, tree hugger, gray-haired yogi, lifelong artist, philosopher, and seeker of balance in all things.
I embrace life’s many adventures solo. Two beautiful young women call me “Mom.” I believe food is medicine and that the body has the power to heal itself given proper tools. Proper tools include excellent nutrition, movement, meditation, community, self-expression, and time in Nature.
Hiking in Nature inspires me. I love taking pictures. Writing about these experiences unearths deeper understanding and satisfies my creativity. Sometimes it’s fun to share the resulting thoughts. People tell me my narratives inspire, amuse and spark memories. I LOVE all of these reactions.
I think maybe our highest calling is to embrace life with enthusiasm and walk our walk passionately. If reading about my adventures brings you joy, my joy multiplies! Thanks for being here.

PS. My sister, Sarah Bible, took this picture. She captured my spirit. She gets me as only a sister can.
PPS. Thoughts about the name “KimQi”: Qi (pronounced CHEE) is life energy. When Qi is abundant and circulates freely, the result is balance. A balanced body is physically, emotionally, and spiritually healthy. So KimQi is acupuncture geek humor for “I am balanced, healthy, happy, and driven.” Kimchi is pronounced the same and is fermented cabbage. This amuses me.
